Hi families! How are you? Sorry about the delay but what really matters is that we are already here! As always, it’s time to talk about the amazing last days we spent in Malvern with English Summer S.A. Thursday In the morning we went to Worcester, a city in Worcestershire. We enjoyed a walk near the Severn river, which flanks the western side of the city centre and is overlooked by Worcester Cathedral. We discovered many things about the city, for example, that the Battle of Worcester was the final battle of the English Civil War, where Oliver Cromwell’s New Model Army defeated King Charles I’s Cavaliers. Do you know that Worcester is known as…

Hi families! How are you? It was a fantastic weekend, we went to London on Saturday and we spent such an amazing time there. The four hours trip was absolutely worth it. That night we were so tired that we only talked about our experience in the big city for a while and went to sleep quite early.  On Sunday, we had a relaxed morning, we all went to the town park and had a drink. In the afternoon, the students chose between playing football or volleyball. Later on, we watched a film and we went to bed to recover energy in order to…

Hello families! Our first week in the English course abroad is almost over. Today we went on an excursion to Brighton, one of the most important cities in the south coast of England. After an early breakfast we set off by coach at 9 a.m. to our destination. Conversation never let up during the 2h journey. Once we arrived the students were given some free time to explore the Brighton Palace Pier. For lunch we had a much deserved burger in a lovely restaurant. From there we split into two groups: one group went back to the pier to enjoy…

Good morning everyone! Is there any better way to start the weekend than a day trip to London? After a delicious breakfast we set off by coach at 9 a.m. to the capital. Conversation never let up during the 2h 30 min journey. Due to the protests our plans changed. Originally we were going to stop off at Leicester Square, however because of the Trump related protests we instead headed for Westminster. Once we arrived the students were taken on a walking tour of House of Parliament, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. For lunch we enjoyed a much…

We were quite nervous as we had to present our English projects in front of all the students, but in the end we all did great. Some of us made a video while others have made a poster presentation. We won’t have any more lessons until Monday.  We’ve worked really hard this week so we deserve a fun weekend. After a really quick lunch we went to our rooms to get ready…
