Is there any better way to start the weekend than a day trip to London? After a delicious breakfast we set off by coach at 9 a.m. to the capital. Conversation never let up during the 2h 30 min journey. Due to the protests our plans changed. Originally we were going to stop off at Leicester Square, however because of the Trump related protests we instead headed for Westminster. Once we arrived the students were taken on a walking tour of House of Parliament, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square.
For lunch we enjoyed a much needed pizza. From there our next stop was the London Eye. After queuing for about an hour we were able to see the magnificent skyline of London. Even after an exhausting day exploring the sights of London, the children showed no signs of tiring as the conversation flowed for the entire journey back. With the dinning room closed, we congregated in the common area, where an assortment of snacks was on offer, including sandwiches, cookies and crisps. It was then free time for the students to relax and talk about the things they have enjoyed most during the day. Off to bed now, as always we’ll keep you updated!

¿Hay alguna manera mejor de comenzar el fin de semana que una excursión de día a Londres? Después de un delicioso desayuno hemos partido en autocar a las 9 a.m. a la capital. La conversación nunca se detuvo durante el viaje de 2h y 30 minutos. Debido a las protestas, nuestros planes cambiaron. Originalmente íbamos a parar en Leicester Square, sin embargo, debido a las protestas relacionadas con Trump, en su lugar nos hemos dirigido a Westminster. Una vez hemos llegado, los estudiantes han hecho un recorrido a pie por House of Parliament, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus y Leicester Square.
Para comer hemos disfrutado de una pizza muy necesaria. Desde allí nuestra siguiente parada ha sido London Eye. Después de hacer cola durante aproximadamente una hora, hemos podido ver las magníficas vistas de Londres. Incluso después de un día agotador explorando los lugares de interés de Londres, los niños no han mostrado signos de agotamiento ya que la conversación ha fluido durante todo el viaje de vuelta. Con el comedor cerrado, nos hemos reunido en el área común, donde nos han ofrecido una gran variedad de snacks, incluyendo sándwiches, galletas y patatas fritas. Entonces hemos tenido tiempo libre para que los estudiantes se relajaran y hablaran sobre las cosas que más les habían gustado durante el día. Ahora vamos a la cama y como siempre, ¡les mantendremos informados!
