Hello families!
Our first week in the English course abroad is almost over. Today we went on an excursion to Brighton, one of the most important cities in the south coast of England. After an early breakfast we set off by coach at 9 a.m. to our destination. Conversation never let up during the 2h journey. Once we arrived the students were given some free time to explore the Brighton Palace Pier. For lunch we had a much deserved burger in a lovely restaurant.
From there we split into two groups: one group went back to the pier to enjoy the rides and attractions, while the other went shopping. It was amazing! During the entire journey back most of the students have slept on the bus. Once in Bournemouth we went straight to dinner. Some new students arrived and we had the chance to meet them during the evening activity which was Party Games! We played Twister, Pie Face, Uno and Jenga. Some of us have even used the dance mat; it’s definitively more difficult than it seems. It was then free time for the students to shower and settle in their new bedrooms. Off to bed now, we’ll keep in touch!

Nuestra primera semana en el curso de inglés en el extranjero casi ha terminado. Hoy hemos hecho una excursión a Brighton, una de las ciudades más importantes de la costa sur de Inglaterra. Después de un desayuno temprano hemos partido en autocar a las 9 a.m. hasta nuestro destino. La conversación no ha parado en ningún momento durante el viaje de 2 horas. Una vez hemos llegado, los estudiantes han tendido tiempo libre para explorar el muelle del Brighton. Para comer hemos tomado una hamburguesa muy merecida en un restaurante precioso.
A partir de ahí nos hemos dividido en dos grupos: un grupo ha regresado al muelle para disfrutar de las atracciones, mientras que el otro ha ido de compras. ¡Ha sido increíble! Durante todo el viaje de regreso, la mayoría de los estudiantes han dormido en el autobús. Una vez en Bournemouth hemos ido directamente a cenar. ¡Han llegado nuevos estudiantes y hemos tenido la oportunidad de conocerlos durante la actividad nocturna que ha sido Party Games! Hemos jugado al Twister, Pie Face, Uno y Jenga. Algunos de nosotros incluso hemos usado la alfombra de baile; es definitivamente más difícil de lo que parece. Entonces ha habido tiempo libre para que los estudiantes se ducharan y se instalaran en sus nuevas habitaciones. ¡Ahora vamos a la cama, nos mantendremos en contacto!
