Kilkenny DAY 11 - The Smithwick's Experience Kilkenny

Welcome back to the blog! Sorry for the delay, we had some troubles with the Wi-Fi connections, and it was impossible to upload the blog. Anyway… on Thursday kids learned a lot of new Smithwick's, a beer which brewery was founded in Kilkenny in 1710.

As every day we have met in the common area at 7.45 a.m. to go to the cafeteria all together. After breakfast, we had the ‘Monday Day Tour’ at "The Smithwick's Experience Kilkenny". We learned that Smithwick's Brewery was founded by John Smithwick in 1710. The brewery is on the site of a Franciscan abbey, where monks had brewed ale since the 14th century. There we got immerse in the story of Smithwick’s, told as only a local knows how, and where 300 years of history has been combined with extraordinary brewing innovations. It have been an experience like no other.

After having some free time to visit the town, we returned to the college to had lunch. After it, we have gone to class. When the classes finished, we went to have dinner. Afterwards, we have had a shower and done the last rehearsal before the Talent show. One of our guys, Nico, sang an Irish song that gave him the third place!! Congratulations Nico!!!

Bienvenido de nuevo al blog! Perdón por la demora, tuvimos algunos problemas con las conexiones de Wi-Fi, y fue imposible actualizar el blog. De todos modos... el jueves los niños aprendieron un montón de la nueva Smithwick's, una cerveza cuya fábrica de cerveza fue fundada en Kilkenny en 1710.

Como todos los días nos hemos reunido en el área común a las 7:45 a.m. para ir a la cafetería todos juntos. Después del desayuno, tuvimos el "Tour del lunes" en "The Killerny Experience de The Smithwick". Nos enteramos de que Smithwick's Brewery fue fundada por John Smithwick en 1710. La cervecería está en el sitio de una abadía franciscana, donde los monjes habían preparado cerveza desde el siglo XIV. Allí nos sumergimos en la historia de Smithwick, contada como solo un local sabe cómo, y donde 300 años de historia se han combinado con extraordinarias innovaciones cerveceras. Ha sido una experiencia como ninguna otra.

Después de tener algo de tiempo libre para visitar la ciudad, regresamos a la universidad para almorzar. Después de eso, hemos ido a clase. Cuando las clases terminaron, fuimos a cenar. Después, nos bañamos y realizamos el último ensayo antes del show Talent. ¡Uno de nuestros muchachos, Nico, cantó una canción irlandesa que le dio el tercer lugar! Felicitaciones Nico !!!
