Good morning, Sunday 23rd was a busy day in Vallclara. The house was preparing to say goodbye to the students leaving in the morning and to welcome the new students joining us in the afternoon. The students woke up early packed the luggage for the ones leaving. We made our beds with new sheets and tidied up every room in the house. At half past eleven, the parents started to arrive. Good morning! Saturday 22nd of July was the day of PortAventura and Costa Caribe and the students didn’t have English classes! We woke up at quarter past seven and had a quick breakfast before going back to the room to pack everything. Some students chose not to go to PortAventura or Costa Caribe, perhaps because they had been before, they stayed in the house and played games with the monitors. Dear parents, Today was another great day in Vallclara. Everything seemed to be normal except for one thing that appeared during the morning break in the middle of the garden! A big Christmas tree! The students attended their classes in the morning and we all ate lunch together in the dining room before going to the classes again. Today’s lunch were tasty tortellinis with carbonara sauce and meat. Dear parents, Today was Photos Day! We started the day activating our body by running and playing games before breakfast. After our first English class we had a little break when we dressed with the t-shirt of the school and took photos by monitors’ groups. As always, we did English Challenge and played World Championship, the competition is really fought. In the English Challenge, Geese are doing better and faster the English activities. However, in the Olympics, Foxes and Eagles are winning almost every match they do. After the photos, the students came back to the classes with a different…

Dear parents, Today, the students had a reverse breakfast with their clothes inside out! We saw t-shirt labels, pants on their heads, socks on the ears and other crazy ways to wear clothes. In Vallclara’s dining room we sit with a monitor and teacher and only speak in English, we ask every question in English: “Can I have some water please?” “How were English classes today?”. After the first class, we had a break where we learnt about the English Challenge. Dear parents, Yesterday we welcomed all the students to our renovated and renewed, Vallclara camp. The house has been entirely redecorated and improved for us and we are delighted to be here again. Our students came from all around Spain (Aragón, Bilbao, Mallorca, Catalunya,..) and have met each other and have been introduced to their monitors and teachers. There are more than 120 people at the house! Good morning parents! Only two days to go and some students have to start thinking about leaving on Sunday… Yesterday was the last day with our usual timetable as today is excursion day. Before the excursion day we usually have a calmed and relaxing day so that kids don’t feel very tired on Saturday and can make the most of their journey! Good morning parents! The final stages of our term have arrived so yesterday was the time to award all those students who had stood out during the one or two weeks here in Vallclara. The Froggy awards, or the Oscar’s night as it used to be called, is probably the most well-known party of our summer camps, kids usually spend a lot of time during the term looking for a couple to share this emotional party with. Good morning parents! Finally, the day arrived yesterday in our house… Rock and roll  is probably the best and most characteristic party of English Summer and, of course, one of those that students remember for all their lifes!
